Set up a support Agent from Claude Code or Codex

If you already work in a coding agent, you can set up customer support without leaving it. The coding agent connects to Replai, builds the Agent from your docs, tests its answers and adds the chat widget to your site. It asks you before anything reaches a customer.

Setup from Claude Code

  • Connect Replaiclaude mcp addDone
  • Import the docs sitewebsite_importDone
  • Run saved teststest_case_runPassed
  • Publish the Agentpublication_publishAsks you first
  • Add the widgetwidget_installation_readReady

Before you start

You need a Replai account, a coding agent that connects to remote MCP servers, and your product documentation as a docs site, a GitHub repository or files.

Connect the coding agent

Add Replai’s MCP server with one command, then approve access in your browser. The first connection asks you to sign in, choose one Workspace and allow access.

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http replai https://api.replai.tw/mcp

Codex:

codex mcp add replai --url https://api.replai.tw/mcp

Connect Replai to Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT or another MCP client covers every client, what the sign-in asks for and how to revoke access.

Create the Agent and add your docs

Ask the coding agent to create an Agent and import your documentation. It imports a docs website directly. A GitHub repository or a file on your computer needs one step in the browser, and the coding agent gives you the link.

  1. Ask it to create an Agent for your product.
  2. Ask it to import your docs website. It finds the pages first, then imports up to 200 per import.
  3. To add a GitHub repository, open the Replai link it gives you and connect GitHub. It then imports the repository.
  4. To add notes that live only in your repository, ask it to add them as text.

Test the answers

Have the coding agent save the questions customers ask most as tests and run them. Read the answers, fix the source when one is wrong, and run the tests again.

Previews and test runs are never charged. Test runs and knowledge imports count toward a monthly setup allowance; when it runs out, the tool says when it resets.

Review and publish

Publishing makes the Agent answer on its channels, so the coding agent asks you first. It shows you the exact changes, then publishes them.

Before an Agent goes live for the first time, Replai asks you to set up payment on Billing in your browser. Pricing explains what is charged.

Add the chat widget to your site

The coding agent turns on the website widget, reads its install code and can add it to your site in the same session.

  1. Ask it to turn on the website widget for the Agent.
  2. Ask it to add the install code to the template your site uses on every page, before the closing </body> tag.
  3. Deploy your site the way you usually do, then open a page and ask the widget a question.

Keep working from the coding agent

After launch, the same connection reads the Inbox, replies, approves drafts, lists unanswered questions and files Linear issues from conversations.

A reply or an approved draft reaches the customer and can’t be unsent, so the coding agent asks you before each one unless you choose to allow it.
